Apart from being my style goals for 2017 and a super dope rapper, A$AP ferg is also quite a sneaker enthusiast. Therefore, I had to check out this interview he did with Complex while shopping for sneakers at Fight Club NYC.
The first interesting fact that was shared in the video was that Ferg’s father Donald owned a clothing store in Harlem and designed the logo for Bad Boy Records. Ferg also opened up about the day when he would spend extra money on sneakers just so he could sport them up and down the Harlem streets earlier than everyone else.
The interviewer later mentions how humbling it must’ve felt for Ferg to wear his Air Jordans to the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week. Ferg then stated how he wore them simply because no one else would think of doing wearing it and how it was aligned to his style and his view of his outfit of that day.
He shared a funny story about how he once bought the Air Jordan III mocha and they were really small for him but he’d still rock them for the hype, which is something I’m sure many of us can relate to. He mentioned how humbling it was for the shoes from his collab with Adidas to sell out the first day and that he has more collabs on the way. And lastly, he mentioned how blessed he felt to be a part of the A$AP mob, which all of its members have had successful collaborations.
In the end, he bought 5 pairs of sneakers that came to a total of $2373.48. Checkout the items below:
Also, below are some of my favorite post that are evidence of A$AP Ferg’s impeccable style. Enjoy.
