As the summer approaches one thing I’m sure is highly anticipated by many of you are some wonderful DIY projects. One of the projects you can probably start your summer off with are these t-shirt bleaching techniques done by Youtuber crazycrewcrew. To start this project off, you’ll first need:
- Bleach
- spray bottle
- Water
- rubberbands
- bucket (optional)
In the video, the YouTuber does three different shirt bleaching techniques to create three different styles. In the first technique using a black “CULT” shirt, he proceeds to twist the shirt from the middle creating a Cinnabon-like roll. He then continues by placing a few rubber band around the shirt and spray it with the bleach and water solution in a spray bottle.
In the second technique, he started to create a bleached pattern on the purple shirt but then scratched the idea and poured the bleach all over the shirt, which created a splash-like effect. He then finished the areas untouched by the bleach with the bleach and water spray bottle solution.
In the third technique, he dipped a black tank top in a bucket of the bleach and water solution, leaving the other half of the shirt dry. He then continued to spray the remaining spray bottle solution on the top half of the tank creating a speckled effect.
The results were completely mesmerizing and it was very inspiring to know that he did’nt quite know how the results would turn out. See below:
He leaves a funny quote at the end that I have to share with you. It says:
“Don’t be afraid to risk it for the Biscuit”
This, to me, meant don’t be afraid to take risks to acquire better things in life.
