So I believe that it is a huge misconception in fashion that a person has to be of a certain body type to be considered stylish, fly, or dapper. But in the year of 2017 2018, the fashion industry has made progress in discrediting that believe. There are a few plus-size female models who are walking for major runway labels and some of our favorite fast fashion companies are expanding their marketing to cater to plus size men and women. Two of these big retailers are ASOS and Boohoo, who have created their in-house pieces for bigger men and women.  I still haven’t seen any big designers send plus-size male models down their runway so there are still improvements to be made. And although I don’t believe this is an attempt to exclude anyone from wanting to be apart to the market, this is sometimes the sad reality of only showing a certain body type. Because many people are not seeing images, concepts or ideas that are in reference to their body type or their image this can sometimes leave a disconnect between labels and the plus size market. Here are 10 stylish bigger guys who regardless of under-representation in streetwear for bigger guys they still keep their outfits fresh and stylish, and their IG fresh and stylish. If you are a bigger guy yourself, hopefully, 1 or more of these bloggers can inspire your style. and if you’re a smaller guy maybe you can take some inspiration from some of these bloggers as well.

@ivanthefutureboy

@ivanthefutureboy is another one of my favorite bigger guys to observe on Instagram. While scrolling through his insta, not only do you find killer outfits, but also really dope pieces that are Off-White, Rothco, Supreme, Yeezy, Vetements and even Pornhub :-D. You can also find really dope photography with little quotes. The color schemes from the outfits and the outfits themselves are some of the dopest you’ll ever see from a bigger guy. Seriously, check him out.

@mogimike is one of my favorite and most stylish bloggers to follow on instagram. Even though I don’t consider him a bigger guy, I do believe his image is different from what is shown to us on runways, in campaigns, in magazines, online stores, even some of the male streetwear bloggers you might follow on IG. Therefore I incorporated him into this list so that bigger guys can take a few lessons from him as his style is definitely a force to be reckoned with. I really love his diverse array of looks. Today it could be a jeans jacket with jeans and tomorrow might be a blazer with cropped slacks. The day after he might post a very Balenciaga-esque look and after that, you could see a very military-esque look. I think what really relates me to him so much is that he rocks a blazer with slacks so casually, and I have been straying away from suits and ties for a minute but his looks really inspired me to explore that option a little more than I have in the past.

@Zuldaiby_ is one of the more stylish bloggers I know. While his style is very minimalistic, I can see how it may still interest a bigger guy who wants a more chill laid back look. Many bigger guys stay away from more fitted pants like chinos and skinnies but these seem to be pieces that he incorporates into most of his looks which creates a very minimalist vibe, maybe even business-casual (dare I say). I see him rocking cropped and fitted slacks in a very casual way with classic sneakers like Comme des Garcon’s, Yeezys and Nikes. And if you’re into sneakers as well, @zuldaby is your guy to follow.

Darnel Ghramm is a plus size male model. His page consists of a varied amount of looks which are both casual and formal. His casual looks are more laid back and cool and his formal looks are dope as well. I really liked how he mixed some of his casual pieces with his formal pieces and formal pieces with casual pieces to create a more streetwear outfit. He likes to layer which is something that can look really flattering on a bigger guy. His peacoats and long lines are also something that I would recommend for anyone who likes to hide their thigh area.

@Kingparchment

If Nemar Parchment’s (@kingparchment) face seems slightly, or very, familiar to you, you probably notice him from all those days you spent trying to scroll through ASOS’s stuff. If you’re not familiar with ASOS, I don’t know what to say :-(. Nemar is a plus-size model for ASOS and his style is really dope. He posts a decent amount of photoshoot pics but he also posts enough “going-out” pics for you to really get a feel for his style. He wears a lot of skinny jeans which he really pulls off. Also, the bomber, beret, and camo prints really compliment his style very well. See what all these small changes can do for your look.

@Enzocoldriver

@enzocoldriver is a plus size fashion blogger based in Spain and he has a really dope IG. All his photos have a very vintage vibe, which is quite unique within this list of bloggers. His style is really cool and laid back but he takes the right step forward when it comes to taking risks. For example, fringed shirts and an oversized scarf is one way to go. Also, mixing a fedora and a peacoat with jeans and sneakers is also another step to consider. In his IG, Not only can you find inspirational photos, but you can also find a lot of travel photography and nature photography. Thankfully we don’t need to share the same language to share our admiration of style, traveling, and photography.

@joel_photohesh is another familiar face that you might recognize from scrolling through ASOS. It’s not clear to me if his personal style is reflected in the images for ASOS. However, the stylists there do a really good job of keeping him fresh for campaign photos. Lucky for bigger guys who might be looking for some inspiration in what to wear, he posts a good amount of his images to his IG so that you can be inspired by some of his outfits. While they might be a little simple, maybe this is the look a bigger guy is going for in elevating his own style. He also posts really beautiful photography and FOOD! Who doesn’t like a good burger on their IG feed every now and then?

@latinboywearsadress

If you’re going for more androgynous looks that challenge the gender norms, @latinboywearsadress is totally someone you can look to for inspiration in doing this. Even someone looking for more masculine outfits as well could take inspiration from Fernando. It’s really cool to see him in oversized bombers and peacoats. He also rocks a good amount of fitted pants which I’m sure bigger guys have been told to stay away from. Check out his looks and see if they inspire you.

@umbilical.cords

Another really stylish person to pull inspiration from is @umbilical.cord. While his Instagram seems to take a more personal approach, he is one of the more stylish people on this list. He really knows how to mix the right tones to create a profound look. Drop-crotch pants, an oversized scarf, and cool accessories certainly make his style a force to be reckoned with as well.

extra_inches_plussizeblog

Claus is a male plus size model who operates a plus size men’s fashion blog on IG, @extra_inches_plussizeblog. While his outfits are very diverse, he posts looks every now an then that are streetwear infused. Some of these looks are jeans with sneakers and an overcoat, camo jeans button down with joggers, and even a nice jeans jacket every now and then. One thing that is very vivid throughout his page is the great level of confidence he exudes.
